My car was parked in a safe-way and suddenly a streetlight collapsed on it. The thing is almost totaled. Would I get appropriate coverage since I've all the basic liabilities and riders mandatory in my state?

No idea what "basic liabilities and riders" are. You would need to have comprehensive coverage under your own policy to address the damage. Why did the pole fall? I'd think the owner of the pole may be liable for the damage to your vehicle.

If the municipality owns the streetlight, then they have to assume the liability. On the other hand, if you have comprehensive coverage included in your policy, you can file a claim with your insurance agency and they are liable to pay for the damages.
However, if your car is really totaled, they'd take it to the salvage yard and offer you a cash value against that.
