Men vs Women in Auto Insurance

Should I keep paying more for auto insurance just because I’m a male? I find this very unfair and sexist!! I’m not a stereotype male but how can I prove this? Would this do any difference? Do I have a legal case opposing this policy?

Judging by your "Judy" moniker, I guess that's correct. Nevertheless, in statistical tables of gender specific morbidity, younger males have a slightly higher incidence of disability than females, and that translates into a greater likelihood of being involved in a collision. Insurance rates based on these statistics are neither unfair nor discriminatory, nor are they unlawful..

As you get older, given a good driving record, your rates should mitigate.

Honestly, this is just so sexist. Its one of Obama's plan to bring men and women at par in paying for their health insurance.

You can petition your state legislature to require insurance companies to remove gender as an underwriting tool in auto insurance. If they end up doing that, your rates will not come down and all women will pay higher rates than they currently do, and they will have you to thank for it.

That's exactly what Obama's egalitarian socialist policy has done for health insurance premiums. With blended gender morbidity pools, men are paying higher rates for health insurance. Men of all ages are now paying for maternity care and contraceptives (all that crap about "free" this or "free" that = higher premiums for all), as are women past menopause. Where is the equity in that? Why should I be forced to pay for coverage I do not require or will ever have a need for?

And all of us with incomes are financing the health insurance for those who do not have an income with higher premiums and eventually with higher taxes. Equality has a price.

If you understood that, you probably wouldn't complain as loudly as you do.
