I don’t have a car of my own but I’m named as a driver in my father’s car insurance policy. Would I be able to drive a car of my friend? Would I be insured in that case?

Your friends insurance would cover you as an insured driver so that carrier would extend coverage first. Your insurance would probably be excess (secondary coverage),
