what are the state laws for a stored motor scooter? do we need ins while in garage awaiting sale? my husband is 79 yrs old and not going to ride anymore, does not want plates on it and does not want to pay for ins when not in use, what can we do? what should we do? he does not want to be illegal?

You do one of two things: 1) pay a NONOPERATING registration fee, or 2) you sell the scooter. If no one is going to ride the thing, why do you need to keep it at all?
