2010 Silverado z71 crewcab 41k miles. kbb is 29,300 nada is 28,700. my truck was involved in a fire. they are telling me that its worth 24,577. they are comparing it to other trucks in my area that have over 100k miles on them. they have denied me a rental saying they have to investigate the claim and until its resolved I wouldn't get a rental. I have no way to go while im 'waiting'. any help would be great thanks

You say they need to investigate the claim... so this is not your policy? If its your policy and you have rental coverage... then it's owed from the start. They can't not provide the coverage until they determine that they want to. It's owed or denied.

If they are using a vehicle with 100k miles then you should also see an addition to your value as you truck has lower miles.

KBB is meaningless.

Which of the 4 online NADA values are you using? The highest? If so, they may not be willing to consider top retail.

Ok so there are a few questions here other than the damages to your car from the accident whats the condition of the rest of the car is it pristine and clean on the inside ie no holes in the seat tears and the carpet or is this a truck that still has part of the deer from last hunting season in the back. I would pull your own comps from similar trucks with the same equipment (IE stereo sunroof power seats etc. ) i would also check with local dealerships to see if they have this year make and model and see what they are selling it for a replacement value. now is this your policy ? if so are thier any coverage issues like your policy just started a week ago and the date of loss needs to be verified or did you just by it and not add it to your policy yet usually you have 30 days per policy contract and they are waiting on a bill of sale
