I was in a wreck that was the other drivers fault and I unfortunately didn't have insurance. The at fault driver does however And I was told by a few people that their insurance has to cover my damages because it was their fault. Is this true?

Depends on what state the accident happened in. You will be able to collect in most state but not all of them.
