Save my marriage on auto question!

by agapeluv » Thu Jan 11, 2007 06:07 pm

I recently got married and my wife's auto insurance company told her, that it is a law in WA that we both have to have the same insurance company? I have had Farmers for yrs and her's is with some local company. Is this just a insurance ploy to get her money or is it law? I want to stay with who I have. Please respond and save our marriage! LOL

No, my dear friend you shouldn't get scared about it. I've tried my heart out to gather documents that support this idea that you and your wife have to opt for a single policy...but fortunately didn't come across one!
Moreover, I feel its your wife who should be considering Farmers keeping in mind her own track record. Now its upto you two to decide. Regards, Sasha.

Hi...lemme tell you something guys!
After being a part of this financial world for so long, if I may bait on it, then I'd say that the married couples are often misinformed about the effects of getting married on their existing insurance benefits. I think its high time that you should go ahead and compare all the benefits offered under each of your plans separately to decide whether its actually beneficial for you to maintain your coverage apart. I think thats the best approach towards resolving your problems.
Best wishes, Fatman

Hi!
Its pretty much a fact that many insurance companies would prefer you to getting insured with them (though I think its solemnly your decision) and for that they would lure you with good discounts too.
Thanks,
Evan

I want to thank all of you who responded to my question on our battle for insurance. We have contacted both insurance companies and they have agreed to both send us their quotes to see who offers the best policy for the cheapest price. Thanks again for all who responded as my wife did read the posts and found them most informitive. Again, ty all,
Signed,
Back in the saddle again!
