Hello everyone,

I noticed that there are no new topics so i decided to make one for discussion purposes. lol

What is the best type of life insurance should a woman, 40 years old, having 2 children, with a huge house and has plenty of money should have. Does she needs a life insurance or maybe not? And btw, the house's title is on her name and not yet transferred to the name of the children.

Thanks... Good Day!!

Well if money was not an option I would say that she should purchase a Whole Life policy..AND of course she needs life insurance she has 2 kids and a nice home to protect in the even something happens to her, I am sure she would want her kids to stay in the home and also go to college at some point.

So with that said she should purchase a WL policy so that the premium stays consistant, and it will grow cash value. If when she is older and decides that she no longer wants or has a need for the life insurance, say her kids are grown up have their own families and she moved to a smaller home etc. etc. she could then start drawing on the money from the cash value to supplement her retirement income...pretty sweet deal if you ask me...what other product can you get two benifits for the price of one...??

Wow! what a great explanation. You are one good financial adviser. Or are you really a financial adviser in the truest sense. You can can answer insurance inquiries with good points that can be very helpful to most people. If you would tell me that you are an insurance agent, i wont disagree.

Thanks! You are of great help to most people who needs clarification on their insurance needs.

You are great!!
Thanks!!

Wow! You have been with sales for a long time. My intuition is right. You are indeed an insurance agent. I have been with life insurance selling for a year. I am also a licensed life insurance agent. But my career just shifted to online work.

You have great achievements in sales, I believe. There is an endless flow of income in selling as long as we work our heart out into it. Am i right? lol

So this is good to met you here in an insurance community. Hope that we can continue our relationship here b'coz i know i can learn a lot from you.

Thanks!!

Yes I have been doing this for a while and it is finally starting to pay off for me. Ask me anything Ill try and answer or at least try and get you in the right direction.

Yeah, it pays if you are a little older. They feel that they are more secure when an older person tells them something that they need to know. This is the problem with my status right now. I'm a little bit younger to be an insurance agent. This is the reason why, most of the people doubt me and my capacity. It is hard to explain to them that they really needed an insurance policy for their protection. In fact, I'm doing this not only for the benefit of my self but also for their own benefit. Why is it that most people cannot understand the concept of insurance.

Maybe this is the reason why most insurance companies use age as the basis of accepting agents because the older the person is the more reliable they become. Is it true?

In insurance selling there are many factors that needs to be considered. Maybe this is one great opportunity to earn but it is kind of hard to find the best prospect because of the people are not open to insurance protection.

In your career as an insurance agents, did you experience the same difficulties? Is it really hard to convince people of the importance of insurance in their lives? I have experienced this. O maybe I'm just applying the wrong selling strategies?

Nice to have a great discussions with.
'til next time!

Oh yes. I experience the same things as you described. I really experienced it when I first started in the business about 6 years ago I was only 21 yeah and people did not take me seriously. But now they do and Ill tell you why. I am consistant and persistant. Meaning...I had to help people in the begining and not necessarily get their business right away..but after some time they have given it to me and I keep getting it now. Also my friends are older as well and now have a need where before most of my friends were just out of college and trying to get out of thier parents homes etc. there was not a need. I have a great mentor that really helped me along the way teaching me and I took a service job at first learning and building relationships with people that were already clients..now I am back in sales and doing better than ever.

Here is the conseption of most consumers today, you know what Ill have a little exercise to post on here I just have to find it. THey did it in one of my classes and it shows this point perfectly. Ill post it and then we will have people answer then I will post the answers.

In order to help people realize that they have a "need" for insurance you have to show them and create the need. Convincing well I dont like that word..some people really do not think they have a need and you will not change that. Others have to realize that on thier own and you have to accomplish this by asking the right questions and listening to their answers, most people buy insurance out of love or greed. keep this in mind. We can discuss this further. Im going to post my exercise.

Ok here it is.... being an insurance agent and knowing what you know who would you say have the biggest need fo insurance. Number your answers 1 haveing the biggest need to 5 the least need.

1. Mike Brady(Father of the Brady Bunch)
2. Tony Soprano (Father of the Sopranos)
3. Mr. Huxtible (Father of Bill Cosby Show)
4. Ray Monroe (Father of Everyone Loves Raymond)
5. Homer Simpson (Father of the Simpsons)

Ok now that you did that. Now take of your agent hat and what do you think the consumer said? Again put your answers down 1 being the person that needed it the most and 5 the least. This is a perfect example of why people do not think they need insurance.... Ok I look forward to your answers and I will post the real ones after we get some feed back.
