Yes you can. But most carriers will give you a multiple vehicle discount so I don't see much point in that.

Why would you want that, do you have multiple drivers as well? Are you trying to get each driver his/her own policy as well?

Some companies will give some varying rates on certain cars, but some of them will give a discount if you already have an insured car with them.

If your insurance company gives you a discount for having multiple cars with them, then stick with one company. But if you can get a lower rate even with the discount, go for it. But remember, it's the coverage that matters.

I don't know if an accident with one will up the premium on all of them though.

I agree I don't see the point in doing this...what do you see as a plus OP? Just curious about your thought process on that....

We are getting this question alot on the forum, this is the third one that I have come across. I don't know why you would want a couple of insurance companies, gosh, I would not be able to keep them straight, besides as mentioned above most companies do offer the mulitiple car discount, some even give you a bigger break if you have your home owners with them too.
