Not sure what you mean by 'comstome made' house and 'regular' do you mean a custom built? as opposed to one already constructed? If so then you may (depending how you handle the construction) have to get a new construction policy, or builders policy (?)...really not sure what you mean...please explain a little better.

If you are referring to the historical buildings, then YES. The homeowner insurer is likely to charge you more for these old houses. The coverage may also vary.

If the house was built from scratch, then they'll want CVs of everyone involved as well as an inspection of the house, materials etc...

It'll involve a lot of paperwork, and probably a high premium for all the trouble.

IF "REGULAR" MEANS 2 STORY, STICK BUILT HOME THAT IS RECTANGULAR (NO UPGRADES).

AND IF "CUSTOM MADE" MEANS TAKING THAT SAME BLUE PRINT AND EXPANDING SQ. FOOTAGE, MAKE SPECIAL ROOMS, HAVING ODD ANGLES, ADDING UNIQUE FEATURES, AND USING LUXURIOUS MATERIALS.

THEN YES, IT WOULD CHANGE THE VALUE OF THE HOME, WHICH MEANS YOU WOULD HAVE A HIGHER RATE.

AS LORI SAID, PLEASE BE MORE DESCRIPTIVE. ... THEN EVERYONE CAN GIVE ANSWERS THAT ARE MORE DEFINITIVE.

THANKS,

AGENT C
