Are they giving you the desired coverage? Are their rate competitive enough? Is the rate suiting your budget? If you can answer all these questions in affirmation then farmers is the right company for you.

Hope you got my point.

Buddy, you need to keep few things in mind while picking your carrier.

Licensing: find out whether they have the license to operate in your state or not. Not all insurance companies are allowed to do business in all the states of America. If you buy a policy from an insurer, who is not authorized to sell policies in your state you may face complication in managing your policy in future. You can find out the required information form the sate insurance dept.

Financial base: Another important aspect is the financial condition of the insurer. You need to know what their business condition is. You may also like to find out their reputation about handling the claims. Companies with sound financial base are likely to operate more effectively than a business with financial hardships.

Price: Well, this may be the biggest concern for any customer. Compare their rates with their competitors. Many companies now publish their quotes, along with their competitors, on their websites. Therefore, you need to do little bit of research online. You can also try calling the agents and obtaining quotes form them for the same kind of coverage.

Service: add this with the price criteria. We normally want to involve ourselves in a long term relationship with our insurer, therefore, it's very important that we receive good services from them. Another important factor is the ‘rules and regulations' of the company. You need to understand their terms and conditions in order to avoid confusions in the future.

Depending upon the above mentioned features you may decide upon your carrier.

Hi, if you are looking for an one-word answer that may not help you. There are people who are really happy with AllState and there are also people who are dead against the same company. I guess, therefore, that a simple YES or NO may not suffice your requirement. Hang around lil bit.......there are some exceptionally learned people around these forums........you may receive some worthy suggestions form them.

I think nationwide is the better vehicle insurance company but also the most expensive. all depends what your looking for service or quality. I personally like allstate they seem to be in the middle category price range is in the middle and the service is there. i don't know about all those companies promise better insurance but don't pay up .
