Hey!

Just don't worry Samantha. The standard pet insurance offers some standard coverages.

Accidental Damage
Holiday Cancellation
Theft/Straying
Vet Fees
Death Benefit
Boarding Fees
Advertising/Reward
Third Party Liability

Shortly some Big companies have included the pet insurance coverage in the employee benefit scheme.

Wouldn't that be something, how many americans don't have medical insurance and companies will start offering it for you pets, now how much sense does that make? You have companies right now that only cover the individual working and not the entire family. But you know what, I beleive it, seen goofier things happen before. Just amazes me sometimes. :o

I truly admit goodnatured that auto health and life insurance are the most important ones but shortly the craze of pet insurance have come up to such an extent that companies are framing new coverages according to demand.

Well seven, the cost would certainly depend upon the animal and its breed. Pet insurances are largely available upon the dogs and cats, whereas, some pets like-ferret and iguana are terms as exotic pets might not get coverage from most of the pet insurers. And, also the cost of insuring exotic pets would be more.

The cost of pet insurance would also depend upon,

The risks covered by the policy - certain breeds are prone to certain diseases. Therefore, the nature of covered risks would also affect the cost of coverage.

Type of coverage- vet expenses, preventive health care costs, surgeries, other major medical costs and the like would determine the premium rate too.

And, also on the insurer and coverage level. The cost of insurance policies vary largely amongst the insurer. Therefore, you should take time to shop around before purchasing a policy.

You may also discuss the issue with your vet before buying the policy.

Thanks,
Rupert

one more consideration b4 purchasing any pet insurance that whether the vet who is regularly taking care of your pets is having the cashless facility at his end or not? if yes that is the best part of it>>>

if not search for another pet insurance which offer cashless benefits at your regular vet (i mean to say your dog's vet!! he he !!)

if the pet is caught up in an accident is there any kind of medical claim available for pets?
Can the owner of the pet file a case against the other party caused the accident?

Sorry, but what is cashless benefit? :? I'm not sure that anyone would offer cashless benefits. But, yeah, one should check whether or not the current vet is within the network of the insurer, otherwise, you may face problems in processing the claims in the future.

Thanks,
Rupert

If its due to the negligence of the property owner then the pet owner would surely receive compensation from him, but one may raise a question as why the animal was there. If it just wandered off then the owner might not receive coverage as it would then be deemed as his negligence.

cashless simply stands for 'one need not worry about payment of claims first from ones own pocket (one's own credit card also) & then reimburse money from insurance company.'

In short cashless transaction is that one where one need not have to pay either through his credit card or cash.simply one just need to show the card given by insurer in order to get the treatment.
