Anti-theft device discount

Is it true that I might get anti-theft device discounts on my insurance if i have GPS tracking device installed in my car?

I found this info on AnyTrack website.

I will be glad if any one can help me on this...

Glad I read this one. My truck has a built in security system. If the wrong key is entered in the ignition it shuts off the gas flow. It also beeps the horn if someone is playing with the door handles. I will have to call tomorrow and find out if my insurance company is aware of these factors. Thanks guys.

There is a BIG difference (sometimes with some carriers) between a ''theft deterent'' and ''alarm system'' or ''theft tracking devise'...(don't want you to get your hopes up too much Wink

)

Like I said Lori...This whole insurance field is sure confusing. Never thought there were so many different areas under the theft protection. I call tomorrow..even a tiny discount would be nice.
