Isn't ''section 8'' what Klinger was always trying to get on M*A*S*H?

I don't know what this section 8 is but I would think that all property owners if they have a lein would certainly be required to carry coverage on the building...fire ins as you put it though would only cover the building it's self and not the tenants personal property...also this could be a local ordance. You might try contacting the local dept that handles building inspections permits etc.

Lori, I think and I am not positive that section * is where a government agencies pays all or part of your rent depending on your income. Anyone can correct me if I am wrong. I live in an area that has a lot of these programs in place for low income families and remember a few people getting this assistance.
I would think that renters insurance would play a key role in repaying you for your belongings but it should cover the building itself. When I use to rent we always carried renters insurance.
