Can you share those improvements ? Rather what i feel that all the TOS what currently prevails is really a vague one and need to be elaborate enough.
I can understand it is really a tough job for a moderator to weed out 'those' posts from the quality posts.But Nobody can control in the entire world what any person can post on the board but only thing remains with the moderator and the webmaster is to remove 'those' posts.
It might be a very time consuming but it need to be done and as for now i do not think there is any alternative for this moderation practice.

You mean all the points mentioned in the TOS are vague?   Let me know which point you have difficulty understanding in and I would try to help.

There is a solution for everything. I am not in favor of entertaining wrong practices on the boards.

There's no wonder why the TOS clauses have started seeming so vague to many. Each day it's becoming more and more difficult to earn those easy bucks!
You should ask him to show us an improved version of the TOS now.

When i used the term 'vague' it was not for defamation of the board but just wanted to urge a serious attention towards it.
It's not the question of the payment but the act of 'removing the post' for no reason is really sucks.when person put some post and it is removed from the discussion (i never get info on why it got removed) then person gets disappointed and thus looses the enthusiasm to post further.
So in this matter i termed it as 'vague'.May be due to that some guys got hurt by that terminology then henceforth i need to use some soft lang.

Person won't get annoyed by loosing the chance for earning some quick bucks but by some 'extra' remarks by the board-members.

I think, I've come across more than one clauses in the TOS which clearly show us the reasons for such post-deletion.
Actually, it never hurts when you're earning..it only hurts when you're paying out...especially while paying out for a bunch of posts that are either copied or repetitive in nature.
Some of our friends have set examples for others over here..and believe me, we're really proud of them.

| My '2 cents', as well. there ARE MODS, on this forum ,who, when 'backed into a corner' all of a sudden disappear. There IS only ONE MOD I refuse to deal with. I know SHE won't show her name ( or comments) around me anymore. Anyway.......I"M on this Forum to help others ( if I can) and get good advice from others. being on this Forum, I can safely say who is 'for' the Consumer and who is not. I ALSO want to point out, being a single mom, the income does come in handy. Why try to 'fix' something not broken?...this Forum is fine. |

I’d agree with Arin here that some people would find it difficult everyday to comply with the TOS of the site because it’d gradually reduce the chances for freebies. This forum isn’t here to provide you with the money to fix some broken items of your house, though some members are useing it for that purpose as well.
There is no objection for the points well earned by the member and that's quite evident from the forum payment thread. Amit, you might have also noticed that this community time to time runs contests to reward its members for their significant contributions.

Amit you have said it absolutely correctly that moderation isn’t an easy task but since the mods are endowed with the responsibility of keeping this board clean they have to continue with their tasks. If you yourself have been running this board I’m sure that you too wouldn’t have enjoyed paying to those who aren’t contributing. Therefore, try and understand the purpose of this forum. There are plenty of other avenues available to earn extra money but this is simply not the place for that.
Regarding ‘vagueness’ in the TOS, you are welcome to make suggestions to improve it but those should fall in line with the objective of the forum.
Unfortunately, at the end of the day its not possible to satisfy all.

Well, I'm not aware of any other online board that would pay you for posting on their site. You have come here for solutions to your problem. Then, why is the admin responsible to pay you for that? IMO we should show our gratitude to the site owner for this kind gesture but shouldn't go about demanding the ¢¢.
This board is owned by the admin and I think that time to time they can set rules for the users to follow and if you enjoy posting here now you would enjoy posting in this board even then. |
