| I'm just curious, I guess..............why din't your husband take his ex-wife's name off the paperwork? I guess that just make any sense to me. I would think, because the way things are now, this would REALLY give you some 'headaches' in the future. I don't know if you can ACTUALLY do this, but.....can he take his ex-wife off and 'add' you? |

This really doesn't have anything to do with insurance, but...
There's nothing to be confused about honey, ask him to change it to his and your name, if not, ask why (could be a promise he made to her or their children)...then you have to ask yourself if this is a 'deal breaker' or not?
Why was this not discussed prior to marrying him? _________________ **************************************

For insurance purposes, it would come into play. If I'm not mistaken, the homeowner's insurance would be under the name of the person or persons listed as the homeowner(s). You should ask your husband to show you the homeowner insurance policy to see if he changed it to include you. Sometimes people forget the small stuff which can become big stuff later. He may think it's expensive to change the names or would require too much time and paperwork.
You will need to talk with him about the situation. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Ask to see that homeowner's insurance policy, has he changed it to include you?
I posted comment above but didn't notice that I some how got knocked out of the site and was posting as a guest. If it's his ex-wife, was this part of the divorce that he live in the house and she gets it if he passes? Things you need to talk about with your husband, patiently and calmly. Communication and information is the key. |
