I want an excellent company for out two homes. My husband will not make claims as he says your insurance will go up or cancelled. All these years (30yrs), we pay insurances for what?

Hi, there are some things I'd like to know over here.
Do you have a reason to make an immediate claim?

Are both these homes located in the same state? Are both these homes of the same age?

I guess ask your husband...maybe he only wants to carry insurance for a complete and total loss...Most carriers will allow one 'weather' or 'cat' claim without an increase...more then that, then yes, you'd probably suffer an increase, (assuming the pay out eclipses the threshold which is probably 1k or less) doubt that you'd be canceled..

To answer, it would be easier if we knew more about your properties...an "excellent company" is only as good as the type of homes they insure. I assume that you are looking for the most cost-effective solution possible, thus since it varies from company to company, we would need more information such as the age of the house, any updates to it (especially they're older homes), etc.
