So i was hit by a dd and my car was totaled, it was obviously her fault and i was wondering if normally hey insurance company just pays out the cars worth or do they just buy you a new car (thats what i heard).

I can all but guarantee they will NOT buy you a new car..If your vehicle is totaled they will determine its ACV (actual cash value) and this is what they will pay you.
