Are you saying you have a Driving Permit and din't have a Licensed driver in the car? I'm just trying to clarify what you're saying. Actually...I know in 'my' state (I don't know about other states..) if you are driving on a Permit and don't have a Licensed driver with you, you are AUTOMATICALLY driving illegally. I know somone who learned that the hard way. If I'm misunderstanding you, please tell me..thanks.

I would advise shopping around. Insurance companies really compete for business and you could find better rates just by looking at a lot more compaies.

Some Insurance co's may put him on a 'high risk' policy...I don't know. But, ya know, I don't think THAT would would be fair, because your friend was not driving the car,..YOU were. I'm ASSUMING your friend knew that you were driving his car?
