If that might lead to a breach of contract with your previous employer, then you could be in real trouble. Under such circumstances it won't help even if you have a good relationship with the clients. Posted: Wed Aug 26, 2009 3:58 pm   Post subject:    Roper805: What type of agency are you starting? What type of contracts are you trying to get (Life, Health, P&C, Etc...)? As far as contacting your clients CA has very clear and specific rules regarding this. The first thing is you can not ask your clients to come and work with you (at least until your non-compete is over). What you CAN do is tell all of the clients that you have worked with that you have left your previous firm and that you now work with whomever and you can give your contact info.
