how can I find out if a liffe ins policy was taken out on me

I am pretty sure your permission is needed before any insurance policy can be taken out against you. It would also need your signature. If someone forged it and maybe got one by mail I suppose it could be possible. I think there is a website that you can go and check but it cost like $75. I believe this can be done through the Medical Information Bureau.
