Hi motormouth,
Whenever you are involved in an accident (contact or no-contact) try to follow the under-mentioned steps:

  • Take photograph of both the cars involved in the accident. It will help you to establish the extent of the damages if you plan to file a claim on the other party.
  • Preserve the bills and the prescriptions if you were treated for the injuries that you have suffered in the accident.
  • Note down the contact details of the other driver involved.
  • Note down the contact details of the witnesses available at the spot.

God Bless
Charlotte

Hi! can you feed some more information about the accident, like-the amount of the damages, extent of bodily injuries, your residing state and most importantly weather you were the driver or were accompanying a friend on his/her car.

Thanks
Pegasus

No contact accidents are difficult. Even if the other driver admitted to fault at the time of the accident, once they thing about it, they tend to change their minds. Also, most people don't fully understand negligence laws in their area so they may not even be 100% at fault even though they thing they are.

First, I have to say that you should report the loss to your own insurance company so that they can investigate the loss immediately and gain information that can provide you a defense should anything go wrong.

If you want the other person's carrier to address the claim initially, you should contact them and report the claim. If you have collision insurance on your own policy, you can have your own carrier address your loss, less your deductible amount, and then they can pursue recovery from the other person's carrier.

Again, no impact accidents have a way of going south very quickly.

I am assuming a no-contact or no-impact accident is one where the person at fault has had no contact with your vehicle, but perhaps turned in front of you, forcing you off the road, or something similar?

I have to agree with the above statement that "no-impact accidents have a way of going south very quickly" - I've seen that happen myself. You can start out with what appears to be a perfectly honorable and "nice" guilty party who owns up to their fault in the accident, but then suddenly decides they don't want any part of this mess, and they retract their story or change it to where suddenly YOU or someone else was at fault - not them.

Care must be taken when dealing with these sorts of claims.

This does not make sence on so many levels. First, the gammer is not correct. Second, the OP was struck by someone else... how was he careless? Only way it makes sense is that you want to drive your post count up.

Why are you want to say my gammer is not correct, i only had misspelled. Why are you so 'passional'?

So you meant to type:

"i think you are very carefully to drive your car."

Now it makes perfect sense. Heck, even your post pointing out the correct grammar is not even close to being correct.

Perhaps you should stop trying so hard to post crap to earn money and take a little longer so that your posts actually add to the site.

This will be my last post on this subject as 1) you are not worth the time and 2) I have no desire to help you post more crap.
