Hey, I don't think its about luxury..but yeah it could certainly be a necessity & more importantly being your safety!

Is it even possible for something to be both a neccesity and a luxury? Allway thought them to be mutually exclusive.

Also, to gsotres, what about auto insurance is a hassle? Is it a hassle when you cause injuries to others and don't have to pay their medical expenses? Or is it more of a hassle when someone else hits you, and you don't have to worry about the time and legal expense of taking them to small claims court?

I'll play along though, Socialisim. That's what comes to mind.
