Hi metech11,

I guess you are from India..
Since I've been closely associated with your land for a long time..I'd take it to be Life insurance that you are talking about! Is it from the LIC india? Whoever be the carrier, I feel the first thing you need to do at this juncture is to visit their office with an address-proof & probably any proof of your relation with your husband. It could even be a matter of minutes before their support-people would go through their records & identify you as his beneficiary! Once they are done with the initial proceedings, then the true picture would come & then probably you can share it with us..

What I've seen..if the carrier is an older one & a reputed one, then they don't find it difficult to process the claims in India. I say this because..some of the insurance giants like LIC are pioneers in this field & have a pretty strong capital fund to support your covered population.

Hi..if your hubby had been into some sort of a service then probably you might inquire about it to any of his past colleagues or the management representatives. They might try helping you after they go through the office records. Some employers do offer group policies or key policies to their employees. Carla_jones

Hi Danny,

Do you remember the insurance company you have the policy with? If you are paying for the policy through your account the name of the company would show in the statement. Contact the insurance company and ask for the details.

Also, have you not have the policy document? It must contain the policy number in it.
