The CEO was interviewed on CNN today and explained how big they are and this is just a blip to them. They will be okay.

I would tend to agree. AIG has 1.1 trillion in _assests_ and are borrowing 123 billion. But keep in mind that the OP asked about AIG Insurance... not AIG International. AG Insurance has always been turning a big profit.

Well, the recent $80 billion bail-out might have raised many questions regarding the solvency of AIG, but this company is surely a big player in the insurance market. AIG is known for its innovative product designs because it has the largest network of commercial insurance underwriters. AIG has been playing role both in P&C and life for quite a long time and has gained the faith of the customers during its years of operation. I too agree with the other posters, AIG insurance will just be fine and its customers are in safe-hands. ~Jeremy

as far as business of AIG in india is concerned they haven't faced any problem as such. _________________ INSURANCE AT PUNE
