My vehicle was totaled and my insurance has contacted my leinholder for payoff. What the insurance company value is 22050. and the payoff is 26500. They said when lein holder sends a letter of Guarantee to them the vehicle will be deemed paid off and title will be released to insurance company. I have no other vehicle and need to purchase another one. My question is am I liable for the difference in payoff? I can not afford to keep paying on a car I don't have and a new note too.

I'm not sure of the insurance monthly payment plans. My insurance broker in Pembroke is quite good at this. Next week I plan to have a meeting with them.
