Posted: Fri Jan 23, 2009 10:17 am   Post subject:    Yes, one can buy auto insurance on a vehicle even when they don't own it. However, that would only be the non-owners coverage, i.e. liability only coverage. As long as you don't have the title of the vehicle you can't purchase the collision and comprehensive coverage on it. Hope this helps.
