If a vehicle owner drives away from a gas pump with the nozzle still attached and damages his vehicle (and the gas pump) would you consider that comp or collision to the owners' vehicle?

Whoops...again I apologize. I was getting my posts mixed up. Sorry!

I saw this happen once. The damage to the car was minimal and it was just the pump hose that was damaged. A quick thinking bystander turned off the pump before too much gas spilled.
The owner of the gas station paid for the repairs to the pump in the interest of "customer relations". I'm not sure he would have been so generous if the damage was bigger than just the hose though.

I agree that it seems to be collision for the car and liability for the pump.
I am a little confused though - is "anonymous5432" and "meusa12" the same person?
Meusa12 - Do you mean that you did not notice the damage to your car right away? Surely you knew about the damage to the pump right away and some sort of report was filed at that stage?
