I, my daughter, son and grandson got rear ended on the freeway while we were a a complete stop. Fortunately we were not injured, just sore. we al went to the doctor. Farmers insurance says that they want to give my 17month old son $300.00 for the inconvenience and a much higher amount for us adults. What is fair? I am 48, my son 18 and my daughter 19.

Well, its difficult to give an amount. You can only decide the amount that would satisfy what you think as justified. However, since you haven't suffered any injuries, you can't base the calculation for the pain and suffering on the medical bills.

Hi collision, I think its hard to determine the amount sufficient for pains and sufferings. The adjusters take into account various factors while computing the amount suitable, like0 the type of accident, type and extent of the injuries, wage loss, loss of companionship and so forth. Take all these factors into account to determine what is fair for you.

That sounds more than fair to me..for no injury and just getting checked out they will likely offer you all 500-750 or so which also sounds more than fair to me
