You call your insurance company or agent and tell them you want to cancel your insurance. I doubt this can be done on a Sunday.

i agree that's the best option / idea, call your insurance company or maybe you can come visit them at their office during office hour and discuss everything to them. :D

What is the hurry anyway?
I think the policy paper would also describe the procedure to cancel it. Also you can get an idea from the following discussion. Hope it would help

You may not need to write any cancellation letter at all.
May I know the type of policy you're talking about?
