Most likely collision but it depends on state laws. Most I've read only allow UMPD when there is contact or at least some evidence that another vehicle was involved (wit, etc).
Also, only UMPD applies. Most people don't have UMPD... only UMBI. |

I can almost gaurantee that no matter what state you are in without evidence of another vehicle, and you hit a fixed object (did you?) it will be under collision. _________________ 65% of the time, it works all the time.

Or if the car rolled over (aka: "upset"), collision will cover the loss. UMPD usually requires contact between your vehicle and another (as in hit-and-run) -- no contact, no claim under UMPD.
No collision? No coverage for your loss. _________________ CA-licensed P&C Broker-Agent and Life Agent. CA Insurance Lic #0596197. Now investigating insurance company abuses, and providing litigation support and expert witness services. Send me your questions, and I'll send you my answers. |

Well, the scenario is not quite clear with me! Did the other driver also change his lane and get in front of you? _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |
