In what way do you need help?

The other party would need to file suit and then prove that you were at fault in the accident. As you did not have insurance at the time, you will need to provide your own defense _if_ this happens.

Frankly, if you don't have automobile insurance why would you need a valid drivers licenses anyway? It's not like your any better off driving with a valid license and no insurance. The other person cannot just have your licenses suspended. He could file a police report and point out that you did not have insurance. But it's still up the law enforcement to confirm this information.

What reason do they have to sue you?

Not necessarily, in MO for instance a person can file a "state report" which in turn triggers an investigation by the state dmv, and dept of ins where they will request that the OP prove he was insured if he was not then they will and can suspend his license and pull all plates registered in his/her name until he proves financial responsiblity which I think in this case requires an sr22 for about three years...whether he is at fault for the loss or not...and pay a fine or reinstatement fee.

I still though want to know WHO told you this? and WHAT are they saying they will sue you for?

Got that right. Driving a vehicle takes a lot of responsibility and that includes paying your insurance.
