I got my learner's driving licence recently. If i drive my father's car and meet with an accident, will any damage to the car be covered under a comprehensive motor insurance policy?

comprehensive is a coverage not a policy...Do you live with your Dad? If you were a permissive driver then most likely yes, assuming you have the coverage you need, (ie, collision or comp, whichever the case might be)
