Hi, are there any factors that you'd need to consider for restricting costs while buying insurance for your car? Are there any factors that might help the existing insurance consumers bring down their insurance costs? Red-ribbons

Depends where you live. You obviously get more money if you live in Florida.

Maybe I missed it, but, another 'factor' for lower payments is your age. Of course, if you are 40 years old, you won't be in the same 'risk factor' as a 18 year old. Experience, etc.

There are several factors to help lower auto insurance cost. One big factor is defensive driving, most insurance companies will lower premiums up to 10% alone for this course. There are many safety features such as security alarms, anti-lock brakes, multiple air bags and other safety features you car comes equipped with should be mentioned to your insurance company. Also, raising your deductibles can save money. Adding additional vehicles saves money.

just think of the money you save by not puuting gas in more than one vehicle, payiing ins. on just one, and all the other perks.

Yep.........only have ONE vehicle. I don't have the headaches trying to 'keep up' more than one. Just keeping up with ONE car can be mind-boggling!!LOL

Keeping up with the insurance on more than one vehicle is really hard and expensive. We have three..good truck, good car...and a beater truck for hauling and my hubbies job at the mines...it really adds up when you add the repairs on top of the insurance.

One vehicle is good ...

...until it breaks down and you have no transportation.

But...also, if that one vehicle is kept in good condition, then you should have nothing to worry about.

Regardless Life of how well you upkeep a vehicle ..it still breaks down. We have three and I have seen times where both newer vehciles needed repaired and the junker was the only one running. Good example was when I was in town..truck was runnung great all day, never had a sign before that day or on that day that there was a problem UNTIL...it just shut off in the middle of an intersection..got it started and off the road..
It was an engine speed..quick $25.00 fix but no clue it was going to happen..not one sign...We even havea vehicle computer scanner and scan the vehicles regularly hoping to keep ahead of the game ( I absolutely DETEST breaking down.
