Hi manoj, if you think you have assets that may be sufficient to cover the expenses that may arise when you unfortunate collide with another driver and cause him considerable damages, you don't need auto insurance, but, otherwise, yes, you're required to purchase auto insurance.

More correctly, most areas require "financial responsibility" of some sort. Here is the reality check... if I drove into your car and injured you and your family, would you think I should be able to just walk away and leave you holding the financial and emotional burden of the situation?

Kudos to all. I can not believe this question was even asked. Do you relize how life altering not having insurance would be for both parties? You could lose your home and evrrything you worked for. I wouldn't even want to consider a gamble like that. And how about the other person if they were injured...especially if injured seriously...if you caused the accident why leave them to fend for theirselves. Unreal.

Please don't drive to W. TN Manoj. Not that I'm suspect of your driving ability. But I would hate to be involved in an accident with you (that is your fault). _________________ Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. - Ferris Bueller |

All the people r taking car insurance only because the government laws are stating u to take it.NOt only 4r that it will be helpful when Insurance takers get into accidents.
Insurance companies pays u 80% of the charges.
A health insurance might be useful.
So,take the insurance policies.
Have a secured life.
Take care .

Well put kiran. Insurance is one of those things in life that we all as responsible people should have whether it is auto, fire, health, life and so on.
