However, if you still continue driving the van, it wouldn't change the rates much. How old is the vehicle? Do you still have lien on it? I'd say discuss the issue with the agent. Posted: Tue Apr 07, 2009 9:03 pm   Post subject:    Flanana58, The only thing you can do is ask your agent. Each company uses its own rating plans and discounts, so there is no universal answer. My company DOES offer discounts, both for being retired, and for driving the vehicle less. Not every company does the same, however. I respectfully disagree with Super Agent, however. There is no need to cancel your policy. If you do not like your coverages, then just update your current policy's coverage selections.
