I told you before that you buying brand new car so you need to cover it by your new insurance policy.
Old insurance policy have some profitable schemes. If you take new insurance policy you can take more new schemes & you can get benefit of them .

This means no sense and is really completely incorrect.

What us a "profitable schemes". If by "schemes" you mean coverage, different coverage can be added onto the new vehicle and the existing policy just the same.

What your suggesting is that the OP pay about twice as much for the same coverage. How is this a good idea?

no no...u r taking it otherway.......... if u add ur new vehicle to the old policy as an endorsment or at the time of renewal....or any damn way.....u will get an option of getting all the coverages which the previous vehicle have + u wnt be charged extra liability + u get muti car discount + theres an option of adding some more coverages for new vehicle which will effect the premium accordingly.........and also i would like to tell u guys if u backdate an endorsement then theres a heavy increment in the premium...but because of the less liability and multi car discount ...it gets lesser than the case of having seperate policy......
Tcope i know i can have new policy which will provide me an option of many new schemes.....but i will also have to pay seperate liability and also i wnt be getting multi car discount.........

Hi Super agent,

u wish to drop 2nd cars policy and shift that car to 1st policy as an endorsment..and also want the endorment to be effective from 05052008( Renewal date of frst policy)

So, I get it's just about shifting the date of endorsement..and this has got nothing to do with the purchase date of the car. But wouldn't a carrier check the history before adding your car? Even if this is possible what documents would they be looking for?

fatman.....first tell me ....the line u have quoted.......well i think its possible
...what do u think..... history of my 2nd car is good......dnt worry abount the purchase date of car......u can assume any date u want..........i dnt think their should be any problem..... the only thing to discuss is that backdating is allowed or not and if yes then how much back we can go..........maybe we can backdate only to last renewal...u tell

Super, if it's possible with Allstate..then you don't need to worry!
I'd rather believe that the question is not about whether backdating is allowed or not! Don't you think it's lot more important to know whether it should be allowed or not? (or what could be the ill-effects??)

Hey Super..

may be am so much impressed by this facilty that i could not c the cons

If through this sequence endorsement you could hide a patch..it would certainly take it's toll on others in the long run. May be you're not prepared to look up to it right now!

04022009 dropped 1st vehicle
03022009 Added 2nd vehicle

Don't know exactly. I guess the order is incorrect. Instead the last 2 dates should interchange. Let's see what the others have to say in this regard. Steven

Hey,

I wonder if you're pointing at hiding a physical damage caused to someone!
If that's it, then it's certainly not a good ploy..
