Son is driving my car while his license had been
suspended. How will this affect my car insurance,
he is not on the insurance.

It's not always that he/she will seek your verbal permission, but may consider his/her access to the car as a right.

ANYONE who thinks that driving is a RIGHT is well WRONG...and ANYONE that is living in my house, would figure that out PDQ...see I just don't ''get it'' I'm serious I don't! how can that happen? thinking it's their 'right' to take 'my' car? somethings messed up...

Your insurance company will not pay for any damages he causes, since he is driving illegally

Juston this is incorrect...most policys (all i've ever seen) will pay the claim if he is a permissive driver regardless of his license status. I know doesn't make sense to many, but it's the truth...trust me.

Wow you are right that does not make sense. It seems like rewarding the unlicensed driver.
FK...oh but if I had only thought of that. Most of the guys at the mine already told my hubby they could see why I was mad..guess this guy is pretty irritating. Worse part is it was my birthday, I had just got done babysitting my sick cranky little buddy, everyone decided to come to my house for lunch and warm up from hunting and I was suffering from the "almost 40 blues".....he just got me at the WRONG time.

How would an Insurance Company pay a claim with an Unlicensed person who was driving it?! Nope...doesn't make sense to me, either. When you are PRIVILGED enough to get a DL, you need to follow the rules of the road........ONE of the rules are you need to have a VALID DL.

That is the thing, Sd…the insurance company may deny the claim when an unlicensed and unlisted driver is involved. Moreover, the carrier can further deny to renew the policy, which will leave the OP at the higher risk of being uninsured.

Further, I can see that the young driver isn't unlicensed, but has his licensed suspended which I fear is from a very valid reason. OP its completely absurd to allow him to roll the car out of the driveway.

How has he got his licensed suspended? And when is he going to get it back?

WOW!! Knowing all of this, why would ANYONE want to put THEMSELVES 'at risk'? ANYTHING can happen. They can get into an accident, etc. My EX wanted to drive my car at one time. He din't have a Suspended DL,but..his DL was expired. Just knowing THAT, I said "NO WAY". Ya know??

Why would someone want to put themselves in that 'position'

my guess would be either, lack of knowledge, (which hopefully is why the OP came here) or undue, terrible pressure from a 'loved' one. the first one you can fix, the second, maybe not..
