I would like an insurance quote on a home built trike. It has a stock 350 v8 a 350 tranny and a Ford 8.0 independant suspension disc brake rear end. It has a Harley Heritage front end with disc brakes.

Well, trikes may need very special form of insurance and many companies don't insure trikes under normal conditions. Some may also insurance it as a bike only with some extra charges for the additions done on it. Shop around both for proper policy and competitive rates.

Cheers!!

Hey,

You can try to run your bike in the following site to get a quote

hondaofrussellville.com/new_vehicle_detail.asp?veh=69163&pov=876648

Remember that some insurance company may ask for the photograph of the trike to see what they are actually insuring.

Trikes are considered to be safer than motorcycles, and hence, the premiums are low for the trikes. Also, the insurer may only insure the motorbike part of the trike and consider the rest as accessories. This will also affect you premium. Hence, its very important for you to understand policy benefits before you actually sign the policy document.
