A friend said that the dealership has to take the car back, pay me the difference of worth to owe, and give me back the down payment if i feel the car to still be unsafe post-repair.

Well Jnell that may be possible if you take the car to the dealership for the repair. It'd entirely depend upon the contract drawn between you and the dealership. They may return the down payment that you have made if you get the repair works done within the warranty period.

Contracts are always there to make things right for the future, but at times it becomes difficult to understand and explain things to others. I think over here the OP would need to prove that one or more of the repair-parts are either faulty or has problems with the fixing. I'm sure he'd never feel the same way about the car once it has been damaged.

Sorry Jnell but your friend is nuts....Let's start at the beginning...you were in an accident...who's insurance paid your's or another persons? What was the damage (including amount) what kind of car do you have, what state are you in, and what makes you think

if i feel the car to still be unsafe post-repair.

How did you go about picking this shop for repairs? We need more information to help you jnell...but I can tell you without fear of being wrong, that just because you 'feel' like a vehicle is unsafe will not require any repairer to reimburse you what you paid for the car.
