I am a resident of Denver Colorado and I was in California visiting family when my truck was totaled and the person who hit me was at fault. Its been over 30 days since the wreck and have not settled with their insurance co.. As an electrician I use my truck for work. Now I am two weeks over my return date to work and I am literaly stuck in the town of Lodi CA. Hopefully I will still have a job when I get back. Can I ask their insurance to pay for my lost wages? Out of town living expenses?

I doubt if you're entitled for a wage loss benefit. You may receive compensation for the lost wage if you've suffered bodily injury. However, you may check out whether the other party's insurer will allot a rental vehicle for you to commute to your work.

I'd ask you to communicate with the adjuster, who's handling the claim to arrange for a rented vehicle for you. Have you tried communicating with your employer about your situation?
The settlement process in its normal course may take around thirty days to get completed. And during this period the insurer is likely to offer the rental vehicle to the affected party. You may demand for such coverage from the insurer of the other driver.

On the lost wages you will more than likely need to get your employer to fill out a form for you. They will need to list what your actual lost wages were, if you lost out on any commissions or other type of pay, what you were paid an hour..thats just a few thing I believe were listed on the form my employer had to fill out.
