I have a very close friend that was in a car accident about 30min to 45 min ago and doesn't have insurance, no one was hurt but he is unable to pay for all the damages on his own what can be done to help this indiviual?
The individual fell asleep behind the wheel and the vehicle ended up being wrapped around a pole. |

Good morning tanisha and welcome...Did your friend hurt another vehicle (and people) of just his own? I'm not clear on that...why was he uninsured? Is there a lein/loan on his vehicle? What state is he in? Did the police respond? Let us know, and maybe we can get you some additional information, I hope he's ok...sounds like he will be paying for everything...but again let us know little more of the facts, and we'll see if we have any suggestions. _________________ **************************************

I don't know of anything that can be done to help your friend. He will have to find the money from somewhere besides insurance and may have some legal issues as well.
That is really unfortunate, but he is very lucky to be alive and unhurt and therefore able to learn from this experience.
There are about as many accidents caused by sleepy driving as by drunk driving. Let me repeat this with emphasis:
There are about as many accidents caused by sleepy driving as by drunk driving.
I was surprised to learn that statistic and now am always careful to pull over when I'm sleepy. It's not illegal to drive sleepy, but one can wind up just as dead from an accident caused by lack of sleep.
Of course your friend should also have had insurance, but the sleepiness also should be addressed.
Good luck to you and your friend. _________________ Insurance blog

Who are you referring as the 'individual'? is he the other party, who has suffered the losses in the accident?
We need a full account of the incident as to determine who was at fault.
However, if your friend is assuming the responsibility for the accident and has no coverage at that time, he must pay it out of pocket. If he can't afford to pay the entire amount for the losses caused by him, he can try to set up a repayment plan with the other party or can negotiate the amount with him. The possibilities are there that he may have to face a court case depending on your state laws.
