If my vehicle is stolen and I file a theft report advising of such and notify my insurance company that my car was stolen --- am I liable if the suspect(s) cause damage to a third party while in possession of my stolen vehilce? Is there case law for California regarding no liability?

We don't know the true reason it was denied, but we are pretty dawg gone sure it WASN'T because the keys were in the car...

I just have to laugh to myself. I actually believed it. Oh well no skin off my back..I'll just let them go on telling their little story.

Any chance they told you it was denied to get your sympathy vote? And then...perhaps a handout?

Could have,,,cut couldn't have been wanting a hand out. They know they can no longer get one here after we loaned them money until they got their income tax a few years back and we had to chase them down to get it back. They seemed to "forget" they owed us so we said they wouldn't have to worry about forgetting again.
