Can I use a health insurance and discount plan together?

Let's say I purchase a health plan that does not cover office visits or drug charges. Can I purchase a discount card also and use these both together? I live in South Carolina Thanks

You can have both, but you will probably not be able to use both for the same expense. You may want to check with your current company to see if you get to pay their negotiated rate for office visits or drugs. Your policy may be able to act as a discount card. I guess you may use both of them towards the same expense only when it won't be possible for you to cover the entire expense within the limit of one. Alston would surely clarify it in a better way.
