If someone gets money deducted from their check to pay for health insurance and they do not pay for it out of their own pocket aside from the deduction on the pay stub is that person paying for health insurance each month?
Thanks |

I can answer that by simply removing he unneeded portion of your post:

| Quote: | | is that person paying for health insurance each month? |
Really made no sense. |

Hard to follow what tcope was trying to say. But here's the answer:
If you weren't paying for the insurance, there would be
no money deducted from your wages.
But, it is unlikely that you are paying the full cost of the insurance. _________________ CA-licensed P&C Broker-Agent and Life Agent. CA Insurance Lic #0596197. | ok here's what i meant...i looked on that person's pay stub and on it it says that money was deducted from their check to go to their health insurance expense...now does it mean that that person is paying for health insurance each month even if they do not pay for it like by taking money out of their savings/checking account to pay for it (and since it is coming from the check to go to that expense)? |

They ARE paying for it. The money does not go from employer to checking account to health insurance company, it goes from employee to health insurance company -- but the employer writes the check. It's exactly the same as having income taxes withheld from the paycheck. The employee pays the taxes but the employer writes the check. After all the deductions are said and done, the remaining money goes to the employee's bank account. _________________ CA-licensed P&C Broker-Agent and Life Agent. CA Insurance Lic #0596197.
