Can new insurer deny exclude injured leg which is non-issue?

Had a previous leg injury which hopefully won't be much of a problem in the years to come. I wanted to change insurance companies. The company I have opted for wants to exclude coverage for the injured leg. What can I do about it? Or should I just find some other insurer?

Until 1-1-2014, when Obamacare becomes the law of the land in all respects, insurers may exclude coverage for "preexisting conditions", typically for up to two years (many insurers exclude coverage for 6 months). But on 1-1-2014, preexisting conditions are a thing of the past.
