It was a minor accident on an icy day. In fact, the guy who started the whole thing left before the police arrived. It was written up as no one at fault. With a high deductible does the insurance company even need to know about it?

Hummingbird in most areas that is absolutely correct...I'm guess (only a guess) that the cop was absolutely swamped...had he written that it was a hit and run which it most certainly was...he would've had to extend the investigation...personally i think the cop dropped the ball big time here! Were it me that report would be amended.

Thanks Lori for that clarifocation. Same thing I heard if you hit soemone in the rear it is always your fault as they will say you were following to close to stop.
