I am going to repair my house. It has been estimated around 15 thousand to repair the house. But I know, the adjuster will go for the low price. My question is can my son's business take the charge of contractor of my house?

You might need to show your policy to an attorney for a legitimate xplanation, owing to the fact that an insurance policy is a lawful pact which might vary amongst different organizations. The attorney might even be helpful at suggesting a few more things. It depends whether your insurer needs to pay anything above the lowest offer made by a licensed contractor, where in you may only have the least hope of exercising your right to reject a proposition. You might pay and bridge the gap between these offers incase you choose your son's contractor. An attorney would be the best person to resolve your queries.
Hope this would help you :)

Some insurance companies are decent and opt for a proper way. To know your rights better, you need to read the policy carefully. You may choose to work with anyone unless working with a specified vendor/contractor is necessitated by the policy. They might consider the lower bid to be more reasonable as they are only obligated to pay for repairing the fire damages. A third party might even offer them a separate tender. You need to make an estimate covering all that it needs to get your house repaired. Analyze them and mark the differences. Check out if the lower one is still working under a different pricing. If your insurance company has referred them to you, then they are more likely to have been specialists at dealing with fire restoration process. Even more, the insurance company may get crucified if they don't live up to the expectations. But my understanding is that you could yourself deal with these matters instead of paying any third party for that purpose.
