Hi Friends...I had to give my insurance company the authority to get to the police and the DVLA, once my car got stolen last month. But in doing so I have failed to disclose my 3 points to their representative.
Right now I am scared of getting my policy cancelled or claim rejected. Since I did not crash my car, is there still a possibility left for me to file a claim ?
Valerie :(

Certainly you have the names of the representatives' right!
Make them a call soon, disclosing the facts what you have hidden from them.
Because this may cause you in either denial of the claim or cancellation of the policy.

If you have the Comprehensive coverage (which pays for the loss or damage caused your vehicle due to fire, theft, earthquake, riot, explosion etc.) your insurance company will pay you. But you need to clarify the whole story.... no disclosed points will be there.

I am sure your insurer would get your claim reviewed by an underwriter. Is it not possible for you to convey the missing points to them, before they can reject your claim ? I am sure some legal advice as to how you should disclose the points would be coming your way !

My friend,
Let me assure you, that its truly hard to escape from the underwriters today.
They are equipped with computerized smart systems that enable them to ascertain the eligibility of a claim more efficiently and accurately. So, even if you keep quiet the facts would be revealed soon. I have this feeling. that they would turn down this claim of yours but they won't cancel your policy.
Its always better to own up before you get crucified.
Thanks.
