Guys.. I have recently come across something very different ! Its seems to be a nice thing called a wedding insurance. Since then I've been wondering about the necessities of insuring the coolest day in our lives... Doesn't it sound extraordinarily funny?

Wedding insurance prevents the worst estimated outcomes on the biggest day in the life of the insured. It turns away the most unexpected setbacks in the form of cancellations to wedding presents being stolen, lost or damaged. Wedding insurance would do all the boosting and ensure enough relaxation and enjoyment for the insured, to turn it into the happiest day in his life. Even though the insured may have planned well in advance and got prepared for this big event, but sometimes things may take a different turn.

In that case all the dreams would get crushed if he was not insured. There are a large number of insurance brokers who would insure the cost of a wedding and also cover the different elements associated with it eg. Cancellation and Additional Expenses, Clothes and Dress Attire, Photographs, Presents, Rings, wedding cake etc.

My friend,
I'm sure that you'd agree with me to this fact that ones wedding day should be one of the happiest days of his life...

Hence its natural that we feel the need of a very different form of insurance that would ensure protection from a few unfortunate and untoward incidents which might change the entire course of the event. Sometimes the most carefully planned wedding may also get marred by such incidents. Small incidents like the wedding outfits getting spoiled or lost, reaching the wedding destination getting delayed, non-appearance of the photographer etc. could certainly be covered with this form of insurance.
regards,
Evan

Incase the policy is such an important one, I feel everyone should keep it in mind ! Could anyone explain it to me in details about what other benefits I'd be getting if I opt for this policy ?

hi !

Its generally all about reimbursing the listed members against the loss, wedding cancellation, or curtailment due to policy holders' demise, injury or illness. Some of the other important causes of cancellation of the wedding include death, injury or illness of the close relatives of the policy holder.

Does this policy have any provision for incidents where either a bride or a groom expresses the intension of not getting married just days before ?
I am asking this since its the question of someone's life getting deserted.
thanks to all..

hi! I'm sorry to say that such policies usually exclude claims coming out of the brides' or grooms' denial to get married or may be due to the lack of funds to organise the wedding reception leaving out the redundancy arising once the policy gets issued. Thus the circumstances which are known while issuing such a policy won't be counted.

I understand that ! ...but, would such a policy come into effect from the day when I apply for it ? What happens if its necessary to get my wedding postponed ?

Take care guys..

hi buddy !
Once the date of the wedding gets confirmed then the policy would get activated. With reference to your query it could be stated as of now that the wedding date cannot be postponed once it it confirmed but it can certainly be brought forward. You may also make a note that once the premium has been paid and the policy document gets issued then the final balances and deposits get covered entirely.

Hello !

I have been searching for a good insurance to cover all of our wedding details. One thing I did not know is once you buy insurance, you are covered from that point on. I guessed it only covered our wedding day.

I think whilst we have this credit crisis its a good idea to get wedding insurance as one of the suppliers I was going to use has now gone out of business

I have also found out some wedding insurance companies DO NOT cover wedding gifts live CASH or vouchers.

As we have lived together for 5 years we already have everything for our house so have asked for vouchers

Has anybody else had or thinking of getting wedding insurance?

Purchase wedding insurance as soon as you begin to pay for the wedding. Plans can be purchased up to 24 months prior to the wedding and no less than 15 days before.
